After two days of kayaking and snorkeling we were ready for a rest day. Our primary plan was to do nothing apart from the washing and tea and cake. After getting up (from our sunken air bed) and having breakfast we put a wash on; before emptying out the tent to retrieve the airbed. This had developed a leak that needed fixing. We pumped it up and I started looking for the leak, it turned out not to be on the bottom or sides but rather on seam at the top. I cut and applied a patch to it, this seemed to be holding so went down to the cafe for tea and cake (chocolate beetroot cake mmm). On our return we found that we'd made a friend who seemed keen on using the shade our tent provided.

In the afternoon we went on the beer bottle walk, this took us to some red sand dunes at the back of the campsite. Along the way we came across some old vehicles and cattle.

In the evening we went to the damper around the main camp fire, a damper is a soda bread cooked in the camp fire. It is made by Jon who has been at Bullara station for the last 5-6 years. For 5 evenings a week he makes the damper and does a little talk.

It was very good, we had ours with peanut butter.
